Please note: these seven stamps print symbols only, no German words – they are language-independent and work just as well outside Germany. The symbols follow the German FRESCH spelling method and stand for: ear, mouth and wave (say it, listen, stretch the sound), „M“ (remember it), an arc with an arrow (keep stretching the sound), a downward arrow (derive it from a related word), „A?a“ (capital or lowercase?), building blocks (word-building blocks) and an open book (look it up). The teaching method itself is German, for German spelling lessons.
